The Cornwall Youth Garden Club, which is a part of the Cornwall Recreation Department, participates in a Community Compost Collection.
Did you know that in the past 2 years, Cornwall residents have contributed over 10,000 pounds of food scraps that were composted at Donahue Farm? The amount of greenhouse gas emissions this saved from the atmosphere could power one household for 770 days (saving 19,011.8 lbs. of Co2 equivalent emissions). In addition, finished compost helps soil retain water and provides nutrients to plants. Are you interested in joining this community effort?
