History of Cornwall - 4th of July

This is a 2024 digitized restoration of the 16mm Dorfman family movies filmed by Dr. David L. Dorfman, who, with this wife, Mrs. Dolce Stern Dorfman, started Cornwall's annual Independence Day celebration in 1950.

It has been shared with the Town Historian for our archives and the enhancement of our mission by their daughter, Dr. Sally Faith Dorfman (aka Mrs. Steven G. Sirota), who retains all rights and ownership.

TOWN OF CORNWALL NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

 

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Cornwall will be held on Tuesday February 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Cornwall, Town Hall, 183 Main Street, Cornwall, New York.  The purpose of this special meeting will be to conduct a public hearing to consider the hardship waiver application of the Hudson Valley Golf Foundation with respect to the moratorium on land use applications established by Local Law # 7 of 2025, and any other business that may come before the Board.

            The Town of Cornwall will make every effort to assure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities.  Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Town Clerk at 845-534-9100.
