SNOWFALL PARKING RESTRICTIONS

With snow in the forecast for this weekend we would like to remind our residents of The Town of Cornwall SNOWFALL PARKING RESTRICTIONS:

There is no parking permitted on any Town road when two or more inches of snow has fallen until such time that the road is plowed of snow.

Anyone wishing to park at Town Hall in advance of or during a snowstorm may do so as long as they register their vehicle with the Town of Cornwall Police Department by emailing Chief Gebert at [email protected] 

It will be necessary to provide your name, make, model and license plate number along with a good phone contact number as you may be contacted to move your vehicle in support of Town Hall plowing operations.  Please park in the first row closest to Main Street.

Christmas Tree Disposal / Pick up 2024

Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 the town will be picking up live Christmas trees.  No artificial trees will be taken.  The tree should be free of ornaments, lights and not placed in a plastic bag.  Please have them out to the curb in the area of your trash.  Yard waste collection will not resume until Wed. April 3, 2024.   Thank you, Happy New Year!

Thanksgiving Holiday Pickup Schedule

The Highway and Sanitation Departments will be closed on Thursday & Friday, 11/23 & 24/2023, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
There will be no trash or recycling pickups on those days. The Recycling will have to be held for pick up on the following Thursday and Friday, 11/30 & 12/1/2023.
District 1 will only have trash pickup on Tuesday of that week, November 21st, and District 2 will only have trash pickup on Monday, November 20th.

Veterans Day Pickup Schedule

The Highway and Sanitation Departments will be closed on Friday November 10th, in observance of Veterans Day.  There will be no trash or recycling pickups on that day.  Recycling will have to be held for pick up on the following Friday, November 17th, 2023.  District 1 will only have trach pickup on Tuesday of that week, November 7th.  Any questions or concerns please call the Highway Dept. @ 845.534.2171, sorry for any inconvenience.
